3 New Tools Added to HTML Tools

HTML Tools is back with another update. This time there are three new tools you can use right away for everyday work, from opening ZIP files to jotting down ideas and reviewing markdown. Here is a short overview.

1. Zip Viewer

The first tool is Zip Viewer, available at tools.cuydev.com/#/zip-viewer. With this tool, you can open and inspect a ZIP file directly in the browser without extracting it to your device first. Upload a ZIP file, and the contents are listed immediately.

This is useful when you only need a quick look at an archive, for example to confirm which files are inside before extracting them.

2. Notes

The second tool is Notes, available at tools.cuydev.com/#/notes. Notes lets you create short notes directly in the browser.

The first time you use Notes, you will be asked to pick a folder on your device as the storage location. Every note you create is saved locally to that folder, not to a server. That means:

  • Your notes stay fully under your control.
  • There is no risk of notes being stored or leaked on someone else's server.
  • Notes remain available as long as the chosen folder is still on your device.

3. Markdown Review

The third tool is Markdown Review, available at tools.cuydev.com/#/markdown-review. This tool shows a live preview of rendered markdown, so you can check that headings, lists, tables, and code blocks look the way you want before publishing.

Closing

With these three additions, HTML Tools is more complete for light everyday work directly in the browser. Try each tool above and see how it fits your workflow.
